Autocad duplicate definition of block _oblique ignored
I also have six viewports. Now the problem, when i use cntrl c copyclip and paste into the other viewport, only the viewports show up. Command: Duplicate definition of block Section Callout - Imperial ignored.
Thanks for any help. The "Duplicate definition of block Are the layers the blocks were originally placed on frozen in the layout your trying to paste them into? Can you post a sample drawing?
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there. I'm having a similar problem involving pastcliped blocks. Both drawings A. DWG and B. DWG have a block named X. How do I overwrite the block definition in B. Message 4 of Message 5 of Message 6 of A work-around I use to insert a new block where an old block with the same name is; to rename the existing old block to "delete" using the "rename" command then I bring in the new block via tool palette or the insert command and then use the "blockreplace" command and replace the old block named "delete" and then purge the old block named "delete" -Brandon.
Message 7 of Message 8 of Here's a better workaround if you have a block with fifty nested blocks in it and you don't want to insert them all individually.
Create a new drawing. Insert the new block. Save the new drawing over the old one. Message 9 of Message 10 of Using Autocad , Autocad Architecture. Please accept as solution if i solved your problem. Message 11 of I have taken complete drawings and copy pasted before or inserted several times before with multiple blocks and never have seen this. The Oblique block is part of a dimension line the arrow , you're importing.
If the block is a file, like I said, purge the file. This is also a good reason to use the tool pallettes for blocks. Auditing "mechanical data" means auditing stuff that's not in regular AutoCAD but is present in Mechanical No idea what it's specifically doing though.
I inserted block here and no problem. I purged all nested, but cannot purge the genaxeh. Inserted a diff. Cannot get rid of either. I also purged all nested. I purge all the time before sending drawings in. It still doesn't explain why I can put a complete set of drawings in with several blocks unpurged into another drawing and never see this. Genaxeh is in both simple blocks. Oblique has most always been there. I opened both drawings seperatly and this error shows up in the drawing that gives me trouble.
Going to look and see if this is happening in the other wblocks drawing I have done recently. Maybe this helps? I can't "authenticate" the advice but.. I tried that also and did not fix problem. But will not give up. Welcome to CADTutor. Not meant to cast aspersions on your suggestion. Hi there.
